New Star Wars Poster Revealed!!!

With two months till the release of the force awakens, Disney is stepping up their game in preparation. This past Sunday, fans poured over the internet after Disney unveiled the new star wars poster to fans.

Twitter, Instagram and Facebook became filled with the poster. You would think everyone wouldn't have anything bad to say about the poster, but remember, nothing is perfect.

The first gripe many fans had, was the fact that famous poster artist Drew Struzan did not make it. Struzan has made the posters for hundreds of classic films, including all 6 star wars films in the past, and an exclusive D23 poster for fans in attendance. But some fans aren't happy that someone else has done the poster.

The other major issue fans seam to have is the lack of a very important character. Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. Mark Hamill will reprise his famous role in the film, and fans are eager to see him. But Luke is no where to be seen. And I mean NO WHERE. The only thing of Luke fans have seen was a leaked promotional pic of Hamill in Jedi robes.  Disney has their reasons for keeping things from fans.

The final seconds of the film, Luke will appear.

So there is your answer.  Now be happy you have a poster.

The cast includes, Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest
Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed.

Next we finally learned who with helm the directors chair for Episode IX. Colin Trevorrow, who directed 2015's Jurassic World.  He will head to Lucasfilm later this year to start working with artists and the Star Wars directors.

Poe Dameron: The best freaking pilot in the galaxy

Sent on a mission by a "certain" princess, Poe Dameron is introduced into the massive world of Star Wars.

Known for the 2013 film "Inside Llewyn Davis" and the upcoming "X-Men Apocalypse" Oscar Isaac, is probably the most experienced of the new trio of hero's.  Being a fan of Lleywn Davis, I am very excited to see Isaac take on this role.

We don't know very much about his character, only that at some point he is captured by The First order, as seen in the sdcc 2015 comic con reel of behind the scenes footage. However he fits into the film, i'm very excited to see him.

We also know that he pilots an x-wing at some point in the movie, and in the second teaser, he appears to be having a thrill. The scenes with the x-wing's were the first we got to see of Poe, and the only scenes, aside from the comic con stuff, that we've seen him in.

Oscar Isaac was the last main cast member to be cast in the film, he received the phone call telling him he got the part, the day before that famous script read photo. He wasn't sure he could pull it off, so he played the theme song to star wars while pretending his hotel shampoo bottle was a space ship and flew it around the room. Cool right?

No matter how much of poe we see, I'm sure he will be one cool character to enjoy. Welcome to the world of Star Wars Isaac!!

Finn: The Stormtrooper Turned Hero

When Star Wars fans gathered around thousands of computer screens on black Friday 2014, they were introduced to the first NEW character from the force awakens. Finn.

The 23 year old London native is John Boyega. Like Daisy Ridley, he is fairly new to the film industry. He first gained recognition in the 2011 Sci-Fi horror film "Attack on The block", after being nominated for a small handful of awards as well as winning the Black real award for best actor.

When the first trailer was released last November, fan's were begging for an answer to the question "is Finn a stormtrooper?'. Well in April at the Star Wars fan convention in Anaheim, we got our answer. Yes! Now, how does a stormtrooper, who is loyal to the empire, (Now the First Order) become one of the films Main hero's? When asked that question at the convention, Boyega replies"My memory is just gone". Kidding of course, but he knows the limits of what he can and can not say.

We do know from trailers and official photo's that some how a tie fighter is involved, and that he will team up with Rey at some point in the movie.

For me, Finn is the one character that I need to see more of to see if I will like his character. I get the feeling that Finn starts out as the Luke Skywalker in A New Hope. He strikes me as a whiney kid at first but his adventure changes him and helps him see the galaxy in more ways than one.

John was actually afraid to tell his parents that he got the role, but he did eventually tell them, when the official cast photo was released. On the set, Boyega really enjoyed hanging out with Harrison Ford, even having him sign a Han Solo stormtrooper doll. Harrison was quoted in saying "This is weird" after bogey asked if he could sign it. With filming john says" you really have to take a breath and not freak out.  Its a part of everyones history and its a beautiful thing to be involved in."

Weather i love or hate Finn, I know John will do his best to make sure this film is awesome! Welcoem to the world of Star Wars John!!!

Rey: The scavenger of Jakuu

Rey is a scavenger, she is self-sufficient and does everything for herself. That is until she meets Fin and her adventure begins.

Played by 23 year-old British actress Daisy Ridley, this will be her first major film role. Out of all the new cast members, she is the one who a lot star wars fans have been wanting to know more about. Me included.

I can say for a fact, that I think Rey will become my favorite character from this new movie, and possibly my favorite star wars character. But I'll have to wait till December to know for sure. In the mean time, I have found my self really enjoying learning about her. She is fairly new to acting. Aside from a few tv shows, she has never done anything with the movies. Aside from the force awakens, Ridley will also star in the upcoming movie "Scrawl" an indie horror flick.

She is not the first from her family to venture into the world of film. Her great-uncle , Arnold Ridley, played Pte. Charles Godfrey on the British TV series "Dad's Army".

When asked about filming during an interview by Entertainment Weekly, Ridley said her favorite place to film was Abu Dhabi. "Even though it was so hot, it was like you literally can’t imagine that heat. The feeling of stepping onto a real set for the first time, it genuinely was a baptism of fire. To see creatures walking around and speeders chilling in the sand, that was amazing, and because I was shooting there, it was like everything had built up to that moment. So a few days in, I was like, OK. I’m getting my groove now." She said.

One question fans have been begging to have answered, is if Rey is the Daughter of Han and Leia. During an interview in japan, Ridley gave a sort of confirmation of the rumor. But we will have to wait till December, or perhaps wait for episodes 8 or 9 to get our answer.

Solo or not, Rey will certainly be a very interesting character in this new series of films. Welcome to the world of Star Wars Daisy.

There's been an awakening.

The next chapter in the Star Wars saga is nearly 3 months from release. And I, for one, am excited beyond comprehension.

For me this movie means a lot. I've grown up with this franchise since I was 6. In 2005, revenge of the sith was released, and we all thought that would be the end. But in 2012, George Lucas sold his company to disney. And with that sale, disney announced a new trilogy of films

Now fast forward 3 years. Fans are preparing them self's for one of the biggest film releases in the history of cinema. Already the movie is expected to take in nearly 2 billion dollars in the box office, and that's not counting merchandise.

The force awakens has been my #1 movie that I'm most excited for since it's announcement.  I can't wait to sit in a theater and hear the famous opening theme once again.
