Star Wars Madness at D23!!!

Oh boy, did disney treat star wars fans today. In Anaheim California, Disney, marvel and start as fans were treated to a massive panel detailing all the big upcoming live action disney films. Including Marvel's Captain America Civil War, The live Action Jungle Book, and of corse Star Wars.

Ok lets get right down to it. I'll save the force awakens for last. So first, the next films to follow the Force Awakens will be Star Wars: Rogue One. Rogue One will tell the story of how the Rebel Alliance stole the plans to the death star prior to "A New Hope". Lucas film CEO Kathleen Kennedy officially announced that filming had begun in London. Also revealed was the first official cast photo.

The cast includes, Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest
Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed.

Next we finally learned who with helm the directors chair for Episode IX. Colin Trevorrow, who directed 2015's Jurassic World.  He will head to Lucasfilm later this year to start working with artists and the Star Wars directors.

Finally we come to the Force Awakens.  We learned that the runtime will be around 125 minutes, just at 2 hours.  Also we got our second Poster. Artist Drew Struzan, who has done the posters for the last 6 films, has come out of retirement to do the next poster.

Also, a big announcement from disney CEO Bob Iger, announced that Star Wars land will be coming to both Disneyland and disney world. 14 Acres of star wars attractions, including a full sized cantina.

Looks like disney has done good with star wars since the acquired lucasfilm back in 2012. Congrats Disney, and thats for so many cool and exciting things to look forward to in the coming years.
